Over 20 Million Pounds…

That’s how much waste per year comes from windshield wipers being thrown away in the US. The fact of the matter is that almost every single one of those blades was still in good shape aside from a small strip of rubber. We think it makes more sense to change that piece of rubber and save all that waste of materials, manufacturing, packaging, and shipping associated with a whole new wiper blade.

To us, it’s about more than just wipers, it’s about offering a quality product that’s better for the environment and for our customers. That’s why we’ve created a business that enables people to reduce the amount of waste they create, and save money while they do it.

Our Founder

Zach Saylor came up with the idea for reWiper while pursuing his Master’s in engineering at Purdue University. Although he was doing research on home recycling, he recognized that there’s much more opportunity for impact in our disposable-goods culture by helping people reduce consumption up front. He paired that mindset with his frustration of frequently having to buy expensive wipers and decided to bring reWiper to life.

Our Philosophy

Helping the planet doesn’t always have to be hard, it doesn’t have to be expensive, and it doesn’t have to happen all at once. We believe that when businesses put a focus on the environment, creative solutions come that are easy and affordable. The only thing needed is a change in mindset, from the wasteful convenience of single-use products to the efficiency and affordability of reuseable ones.
